The TLC Cross is a Multi-Generational Mission:

The TLC Cross is a vision tool which can be adapted and made relevant to all generations. It is important that from birth this mission is instilled in the faith of our children here at Trinity. The basics are love God with all your heart, and then show that love to others by loving others with all your heart. This is a concept that children can easily understand. As children become adults it is important that this mission is developed in more detail and relevancy.

History has proven that young people have a built in instinct to fight for a cause. Everyone is really fighting for some sort of cause in theirs lives. Think about your life, what cause do you find yourself fighting for? For some it is having fun, family, being happy, striving for success. Youth and young adults have the same instincts. It is important that these students see our obedience as adults and parents to fulfilling the mission Christ has mandated to us here at Trinity in the TLC Cross. If we do not exhibit this in our lives then our children will not see the importance of it in our lives or for their lives. The old saying "do what I say, not what I do," really holds no ground when instructing our youth in such fundamental life guidelines. The most efficient and easiest way of instilling this mission in our children and youth is by living it!

Of course this is a process that takes time and none of us are perfect, but our children and youth see our hearts. If our hearts are striving to fulfill this mission children and youth will gravite towards our passion in this cause.
