Grow Faith & Show Love

Recently I was prayerfully meditating on Trinity’s call to Love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind; and love our neighbors as ourselves. As you are probably aware, our staff and leadership team has been promoting our mission with the ministry logo that we call the TLC Cross. We’ve been busy making plans and setting goals with this ministry in mind. We want to fulfill the vision of “reaching out daily with a growing heart for heaven, home, and humanity near and far.” In order to do that, I’d like to encourage you to see the two stretching directions of the TLC Cross. We want Trinity to serve you and your family by being a wonderful place to grow faith. We want to make it a place where your personal life finds greater faith and love through the worship of our wonderful Lord and Savior. We want to support the foundation of faith for all of God’s people regardless of age or course of life. We want to come along side faith-filled parents and be a blessing to their homes. God desires our growth in faith, love and trust. 2 Peter 3:18 says, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
The other stretch that we want to make is to show love. We want Trinity to be a place where you can personally become involved in showing the world what it means to have the love and joy of Jesus Christ alive in your heart. We want to provide opportunities to connect to our community in meaningful ways that bless the Hudson area and those who we brush up against in everyday life. We want to be a church that shows love to people in faraway places too. That’s why we send people from our own congregation to serve as short-term missionaries to places that need compassionate Christian care. That’s why we support long-term missionaries like Pastor Jacob Gillard in Uganda. God desires that His people show love to the world, Jesus said, “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16.

God wants to teach us how to touch the world with His love and grace. May I invite you to join the mission? Trinity will work together as one family in Christ to grow faith and show love.
